Assembly Row Parking

FAQs

It’s simple! All the Assembly Row garages are powered by Metropolis and utilize license plate recognition technology. Instead of grabbing a ticket upon entering the garage, our cameras will capture your license plate, open the gate, and begin your on-site parking session. While we encourage everyone to register with Metropolis prior to visiting, when exiting our garages, if you have parked for UNDER 3 hours, all you need to do is pull up to the gate and it will open. If you have parked for OVER 3 hours you will need to create an account with Metropolis before leaving in order to pay for your parking session.

Take a test drive with our interactive demo by clicking here.

All parking payments are processed exclusively through the Metropolis platform instead of on-site at the gates. Just visit app.metropolis.io online and you will be prompted to create an account using your email, phone number, license plate and a valid payment method. Once you have created your account, you will never have to take action on-site again! For iPhone users only, Metropolis also has an app available for download in the App Store.

Nothing! If you already have an account with Metropolis – when you go to park in any of our parking garages, upon exiting, all you will need to do is drive up to the gate and the gate will open. If you have parked for over 3 hours, your card on file will be charged based off our parking rates and you will receive a receipt via text to the phone number on file.

All payments are processed exclusively through the Metropolis. Simply create an account by visiting app.metropolis.io online using your email, phone number, license plate and a valid payment method. The next time you park at Assembly Row for over 3 hours, upon exiting the parking garage your card on file will be automatically charged based off our parking rates and you will receive a receipt via text to the phone number on file – no further action required.

The rates remain the same – there is just a teeny, tiny transaction fee added to each visit.

Yes! But only for iPhone. For anyone with an Apple iPhone, there is an app available in the App Store called “Metropolis” that can be used for managing your parking account.  Here, you can sign up using your apple ID. If you do not have an iPhone, you can use any browser and go to app.metropolis.io to manage your parking account.

Not a problem! The cameras will read the back license plate instead.

We made the switch to a license plate recognition software to bring a more seamless and streamlined parking experience to Assembly Row. Instead of grabbing a ticket upon entering the garage, our cameras will capture your license plate, open the gate, and begin your on-site parking session.

The system reads your license plate on the way in and creates an open parking session. When you exit, the system reads your license plate again and matches your exit with your entry and closes the parking session. It charges you according to how long you have parked in the facility.

A receipt will be texted to you after exiting the garage. You can also download a copy of your receipt directly from your Metropolis account.

Nothing! If you stay for less than 3 hours, you will not be charged.

Any bank issued Visa or MasterCard debit card will work with the parking system.

Assembly implemented a ticketless parking system to reduce paper consumption.  By eliminating tickets, we’re trying to make a positive impact on our carbon footprint.

When you insert your credit or debit card into the entrance machine, a time clock is stamped and the parking equipment automatically begins calculating the length of your parking stay.
